Section 2 Offenses Committed against Japanese Nationals Outside of Japan
Examining the status of offenses committed against Japanese nationals outside of Japan, as ascertained by diplomatic establishments abroad through their Japanese citizen protection services, revealed that 5,267 cases (down 5.8% from the previous year) were committed against 5,703 Japanese nationals (down 4.8% (id.)) in 2011.
