The survey conducted here and the subjects were as follows and Table 7-4-1-1 shows the attributes, etc. of the survey subjects.
(1) Survey of juvenile delinquents: 730 of 899 juveniles newly admitted to juvenile classification homes nationwide in March 2011 for protective detention and who agreed to participate in the survey (response rate: 81%, average age of the respondents: 16.7)
(2) Survey of young offenders: 372 of 439 new inmates younger than 30 who completed their assessments on treatment after commencement of execution of their sentence or who received guidance upon commencement of execution of their sentence (See Fig. 2-4-2-1) in penal institutions nationwide in March 2011 and who agreed to participate in the survey (response rate: 85%, average age of the respondents: 24.7)
