2 Narcotics and Psychotropic Control Act violations, etc.

  Fig. 3-3-1-6 shows the number of persons cleared for Narcotics and Psychotropic Control Act violations (including Act on Special Provisions for Narcotics violations related to narcotics and psychotropic; hereinafter the same in this chapter), Opium Act (Act No. 71 of 1954) violations (including Act on Special Provisions for Narcotics violations related to opium; hereinafter the same in this chapter), and Cannabis Control Act (Act No. 124 of 1948) violations (including Act on Special Provisions for Narcotics violations related to cannabis; hereinafter the same in this chapter), over the last 30 years.
  Both the number of persons cleared for Narcotics and Psychotropic Control Act violations and that for Cannabis Control Act violations have generally been increasing since 2001, and as for Cannabis Control Act violations, the number registered the record high in 2006. These numbers, however, both decreased in 2007.
