7 Giving and acceptance of bribes, etc.

  Table 1-1-2-6 shows the number of public officials newly received and finally disposed by public prosecutors offices for acceptance of bribes in 2006.

  Table 1-1-2-7 shows the term of imprisonment with work sentenced in the court of first instance for giving and acceptance of bribes in the last five years. 91.9 % of those sentenced to imprisonment with work in 2006 has a suspension of execution of sentence.

  Fig. 1-1-2-8 shows the number of public officials newly received and finally disposed by public prosecutors offices in 2006, by type of offense.
  By type of offense, negligence in the pursuit of social activities in traffic accidents accounted for the overwhelming majority at 82.5% of the total number of newly received public officials.
