2 Special law offenses committed by females

   Table 1-2-4-4 shows the number of females referred for special law offenses excluding road traffic violations and other violations of traffic-related laws in 2002, by type of offense, compared with the number in 1993 and 2001. The number of females referred has been on the decline in recent years, down 0.2% in 2002 from the previous year. By type of offense, Stimulant Drug Control Law violations were the largest, followed by Immigration Control Law violations and Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law violations.
  The rate of females to all persons referred in 2002 was high for Public Offices Election Law violations, Anti-Prostitution Law violations, Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law violations, and Immigration Control Law violations.
