Fig. 4-3-1-5 shows the number of persons referred for Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act violations over the last 20 years. The number was generally on a significantly decreasing trend and remaining below 10,000 from 1996. It was 604 in 2011, which was 1.6% of the peak of 1982 (36,796).
