6 Measures against cybercrime

In 2001 a Convention on Cybercrime was adopted by the Council of Europe, which is the world’s first comprehensive convention on measures against cybercrime and that provides for: [1] criminalization of certain acts, including illegal access to computer systems and production of computer viruses, etc., [2] establishment of procedural provisions for the search and seizure of computer data, etc., and [3] mutual legal assistance and extraditions, etc. As a domestic law relevant to this Convention the Act on Partial Revision of the Penal Code, etc. to Deal with Advances Made in Information Processing, etc. (Act No. 74 of 2011) was enacted in June 2011.
