PART 6 Criminal Justice System Reforms

This part provides an overview of recent criminal justice system reforms and of systems, including the Saiban-in (lay judge) system, use of which commenced on May 21, 2009.

Fig. 6-1-1 shows an overview of efforts made in reforming the criminal justice system (See Appendix 6-1).
