Table 5-1-4-1 shows the number of reported cases and the victim rate for rape and forcible indecency (as for rape, the victim rate refers to the number of reported cases per 100,000 females; hereinafter the same in this section) over the last 10 years. The number of reported cases/victim rate for these offenses involving female victims was on an increasing/rising trend until 2003, but has continued to decrease/decline since 2004.
