6 Measures against cybercrime
In 2001 the Convention on Cybercrime was adopted by the Council of Europe. The convention is the world’s first comprehensive convention on measures against cybercrime and provides for: (1) criminalization of certain acts including illegal access to computer systems and production of computer viruses, etc., (2) development of procedures for search and seizure of computer data; and (3) international cooperation in criminal investigations and extradition, etc. (Japan has not concluded this yet).
