Section 3  The Act for Partial Amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure, etc. for the Protection of Rights and Benefits of Crime Victims, etc.

  This Act which was promulgated on June 27, 2007 has the following contents in order to further protect the rights and benefits of crime victims, etc. under the Basic Act on Crime Victims and the Basic Plan for Crime Victims, etc.: [1] establishment of a system for crime victims, etc. to participate in criminal trials; [2] establishment of a system to protect the information of crime victims' names, etc. in criminal procedures; [3] establishment of a system to utilize the results of criminal procedures concerning crime victims' compensation claims for damage; and [4] expansion of the scope for inspection and copying of the records of public trials (see Chapter 2, Section 1, 2).
  Concerning this Act, [1] and [3] above shall be enforced on the day within one year and 6 months counting from the date of promulgation specified by a Cabinet Order, while [2] and [4] above shall be enforced on the day within 6 months counting from the date of promulgation specified by a Cabinet Order.
