4 Enhancement of consideration for victims in juvenile cases

  Under the Act for Partial Amendment to the Juvenile Act, etc. (Act No. 142 of 2000), which came into force in April 2001, new procedures for juvenile cases were established in order to enhance consideration to victims. In 2006, measures requested by victims, etc. and the number of such victims, etc. were as follows: [1] 606 persons requested “inspection and copying of records of juvenile cases” (594 persons of them were granted their requests); [2] 170 persons requested ”hearing of opinions of victims, etc.”(156 persons (id.))”; and [3] 719 persons requested “notification of the results of the judgment” (717 persons (id.))
