1 Seizure of stimulants, etc.

  Table 3-3-2-1 shows the amount of stimulants and other drugs seized over the last five years.
  In recent years, the number of seized synthetic narcotic tablets such as MDMA had increased sharply, but decreased significantly in 2006. On the other hand, the amount of heroin, LSD, and opium seized increased from the previous year in 2006.

  Major embarking points of stimulants found in large-scale seizures (seizure of one kilogram or more per a crime; only those seized by the police) in 2006 were China (excluding Taiwan and Hong Kong) (40.4 kg), Hong Kong (27.0 kg), Canada (23.7 kg), etc. (Source: The Criminal Investigation Bureau, National Police Agency).
