  Fig. 1-3-2-8 shows the numbers of persons newly received by public prosecutors offices over the last 10 years for violations of the Trademark Act (Act No. 127 of 1959) and Copyright Act (Act No. 48 of 1970) (see Appendixes 1-4 for the numbers of persons newly received by public prosecutors offices for violations of the Patent Act (Act No. 121 of 1959), Utility Model Act (Act No. 123 of 1959), Design Act (Act No. 125 of 1959)).

  Table 1-3-2-9 shows the number of persons prosecuted or not prosecuted over the last five years for violations of the Trademark Act and Copyright Act.

  In 2006, 399 persons prosecuted were indicted and 270 persons prosecuted were put on summary trial procedures for violations of the Trademark Act, while 193 persons prosecuted were indicted and 68 persons were put on summary trial procedures for violations of the Copyright Act.
