 White paper on crime 2006 Part 6/Chapter 3/Section 3

Section 3  Recent Trends of Legislation

In recent years, criminal and other legislation has been implemented, responding precisely to the demands of the times based on changes in social and economic situations. Many of these newly established acts, some of which have enabled responses that match the reality of actual cases or have established measures for crime victims, have contributed greatly to the restoration of public safety and elimination of the general public's anxiety. This Section will introduce the outline of two acts enforced in 2005 and other acts approved and bills submitted to the Diet recently.
