Table2-3-3-2 shows the number of defendants sentenced to imprisonment with labor for life in the court of first instance according to type of offense in the last decade.
  In2004,the percentage of life imprisonment was4.1%for homicide and8.2%for"robbery resulting in death/injury and rape on the occasion of robbery"of respective total convictions.The breakdown of ten"others"was six for violations of Law on Special Provisions for Narcotics,three for rape resulting in bodily injury and one for arson(Source:Annual Report of Judicial Statistics,General Secretariat of the Supreme Court).
