Table2-3-3-1 shows the number of defendants sentenced to death in the court of first instance according to type of offense in the last decade.Offenses sentenced to death in the last decade have been only homicide or robbery resulting in death.In2004,the percentage of death penalty was1.1%for homicide and4.3%for robbery resulting in death of respective total convictions(Source:Annual Report of Judicial Statistics,General Secretariat of the Supreme Court).
