3 Criminal trial of juveniles

  Table III-2 shows the types of punishment for juveniles convicted by ordinary first instance courts in the five-year period from1994through1998. The Table breaks down the data for1998by offense.
  By offense, professional negligence had the largest share in the number of juvenile convicts(39.8%), followed by Road Traffic Law violations(16.8%), bodily injury(12.4%)and robbery(8.1%).
