Section 4  Probation/Parole Supervision

Table 3-5-4-1 shows the percent ratio of prison parolees and offenders given suspension of execution of sentence with probationary supervision who received criminal dispositions due to repeat offenses during their probation/parole supervision among those whose probation/parole supervision was terminated (hereinafter referred to as the “re-disposition rate” in this section), over the last 10 years.
The re-disposition rate had remained around 1% for prison parolees, but was 0.6% in 2007, the lowest in the last 10 years. The re-disposition rate had remained around 35% for offenders given suspension of execution of sentence with probationary supervision, but declined by 3.7 points in 2007 which was also the lowest in the last 10 years (for repeat offenses or repeat delinquency of juvenile probationers/juvenile training school parolees, see Part 4, Chapter 2, Section 6, 3 (2)).
