Section 3  Correction

  Table 7-2-3-1 shows the accumulative rate of prisoners who were released in 2001 and re-entered prison by the end of the year for 2001 to 2006.
  By reason for release, prisoners who were released upon completion of their sentence have a higher rate of being imprisoned again, as well as being imprisoned earlier, when compared to those released on parole.
  On the other hand, regarding re-imprisoned inmates in 2006, examining the rate of those whose term of recidivism (referred to in this section as the period from the date of release under the previous conviction to the date of committing the crime that caused the subsequent imprisonment) was less than one year by type of offense for which more than 100 persons were re-imprisoned reveals the rate to be highest for breaking into a residence (56.3%), followed in order by fraud (53.2%), theft (49.2%) and obstructing performance of public duties (47.1%) (see Appendix 2-9).
  Also, Table 7-2-3-2 shows the re-imprisonment rate within five years of the year of release, by year of release (1997 to 2001).
