Section5 Offenses by Mentally Disabled Persons

  Fig.1-4-5-1 shows the number of mentally disabled persons,etc.(mentally disabled persons and persons suspected to be mentally disabled;hereinafter the same),cleared for non-traffic penal code offenses(excluding unsafe driving resulting in death or injury in traffic accidents;hereinafter the same in this Section)over the last10years.
  Among the389,027persons cleared in2004,915(down by8.4%from the previous year)were found to be mentally disabled and1,373(down by17.0%(id.))were suspected to be mentally disabled.Mentally disabled persons,etc.,accounted for0.6%(down by0.1points(id.))of the total.
