With regard to juvenile legislation, and following the Act for Partial Amendment of the Juvenile Act (Act No.142 of 2000) of April 2001, review of the disposition of juvenile cases took place, and further promotion of the fact finding procedure and enhanced consideration for victims, etc. implemented. In addition, revision of the Juvenile Act, etc. resulted in important system reforms that included lowering of the age of juveniles who could be committed to juvenile training schools (revised by Act No. 68 of 2007) and the introduction of a system to allow victims, etc. to attend juvenile hearings, etc. (revised by Act No. 71 of 2008) (See Chapter 2, Part 4 and Chapter 2, Part 5).
