The percentage of probationers/parolees associated with Boryokudan (refers to those deemed to have been associated with designated Boryokudan, etc. as identified under the Anti-Boryokudan Act by the time of commencement of their probation/parole supervision) to all probationers/parolees newly placed under probation/parole supervision has been generally declining over recent years. It was 12.4% for parolees and 8.1% for probationers in 1999, but 9.5% (up 0.2 points from the previous year) for parolees and 5.4% (up 0.1 points (id.)) for probationers in 2009 (Source: Annual Report of Statistics on Rehabilitation).
