Advisers to victims have been assigned at public prosecutors offices throughout Japan.They are engaged in counseling victims,guiding or accompanying them in courts to observe proceedings,assisting them for inspection of records,explaining criminal proceedings etc.,and establishing a network to link them with victim support organizations and groups.
