4 Criminal histories of persons cleared for violent sexual offenses

  Table1-4-6-5 shows the number of persons cleared for violent sexual offenses(rape,rape on the occasion of robbery,indecent assault,and abduction/kidnapping for indecency;hereinafter the same in this subsection)targeting children(those under age13;hereinafter the same in this subsection)in2004,by criminal history and contents.
  Among those cleared for violent sexual offenses targeting children(466),120(25.8%)had certain previous histories of sexual offenses(violent sexual offenses,larceny with sexual intention,indecent exposure,violations of the Law against Child Prostitution and Pornography(child prostitution),Youth Protection Ordinance violations(promiscuous habit),Minor Offenses Law violations(peeping and stalking),and Nuisance Prevention Ordinance violations(obscene acts)).Of these,92(19.7%)had histories of violent sexual offenses and74had histories of violent sexual offenses targeting children(Source:The Community Safety Bureau,National Police Agency).
