In 2000, the prosecution rate increased for every type of drug offense. The prosecution rate of Stimulant Drug Control Law violations exceeded the 90 %mark, reaching 90.2%. The rate of Cannabis Control Law violations reached 68.2%, recording a new high for the last two decades and the rate of Narcotics Control Law violations increased for the fourth year in a row, reachin g77.7%. The percentage of repeat offenders among persons referred for Stimulant Drug Control Law violations was extremely high, reaching 49.8% in 2000.
