Table IV-12 shows the number of mentally disordered persons newly admitted to prisons or juvenile training schools in1997,1998and1999. The share of the mentally disordered in the total number of persons newly admitted stood at4.1%for both prisons and juvenile training schools.
  Persons who require special treatment have been admitted to medical prisons or medical juvenile training schools.
