1 Seizure of stimulants, etc.

  Table 3-3-2-1 shows the amount of stimulants and other drugs seized over the last five years.
  In recent years, the number of seized synthetic narcotic tablets such as MDMA had increased sharply, but decreased in 2006. However, it increased significantly and registered the record high in 2007. The amount of stimulants, cocaine, and cannabis seized increased from the previous year in 2007.
  Major embarking points of stimulants found in large-scale seizures (seizure of one kilogram or more per a crime; only those seized by the police) in 2007 were Canada (154.2 kg), Hong Kong (12.4 kg), the United Arab Emirates (9.2 kg) , China (excluding Taiwan and Hong Kong) (4.9 kg), etc. (Source: The Criminal Investigation Bureau, National Police Agency).
