Section5 Comparison with Japan

  This section shows the changes in the population ratio of the number of persons cleared for juveniles and senior juveniles for major crime,homicide,and robbery over the last ten years among the five countries of Japan,France,Germany,the United Kingdom,and the United States of America(however,the statistics for Germany are for over nine years up to2002.).
  As for the"major crimes"in this section,these refer to non-traffic penal code offenses in Japan,felony and misdemeanor excluding traffic offenses in France,felony and misdemeanor excluding traffic offenses in Germany,offenses for which there was official indictment and those categorized as intermediate graveness excluding traffic offenses in the United Kingdom,and homicide,rape,robbery,injury,larceny,and arson in the United States of America.
  Table4-6-5-1 shows the number of persons cleared and their population ratio for non-traffic penal code offenses and the designated five types of crime separately for juveniles,senior juveniles,and adults in Japan over the last ten years.
  Fig.4-6-5-2 shows the population ratio of the number of persons cleared for major crimes,homicide,and robbery for juveniles and senior juveniles over the last ten years in each country.
