4 Comparison with other countries

  This Subsection makes an international comparison on household and individual damage between the result of the current survey and that of the recent International Crime Victimization Survey conducted in1996.
  Fig. V-5 shows victimization rates for household and individual damage by offense and by country.

  In comparison to the U. S. A. and other countries participating in the ICVS(data for1995), Japan's victimization rates for household and individual damage are relatively low in general, except for motorcycle and car theft.
