  Out of the total defendants finally disposed in the first instance of district,family and summary courts in2004,93,658(11.1%of the total)were disposed in ordinary trial procedure and752,093(88.9%id.)were by summary trial procedure.
The number of defendants finally disposed by family courts for adult criminal cases against juveniles'welfare in2004was367,an increase of3.1%from the previous year.Out of the total number,336(91.6%id.)were disposed for Child Welfare Law violations(Source:Annual Report of Judicial Statistics).
