Under the provisions of the Criminal Compensation Law, defendants who are found not guilty after being detained or placed under custody pending trial shall receive compensation in accordance with the length of detention or custody. Similarly, defendants who are found not guilty by re-trial after incarceration following a final guilty judgment shall receive compensation in accordance with the length of incarceration.
