3 Robbery

  The number of cases reported for robbery reached 7,664 in 2003, the highest record since 1950, but decreased for four consecutive years to 4,567 in 2007 (down by 541 (10.6%) from the previous year). The clearance rate for robbery continued to recover slightly for three consecutive years to 61.1% in 2007 (up by 1.2 points (id.)).
  Table 1-1-2-3 shows the number of cases reported and cleared, and clearance rate for robbery targeting overnight supermarkets (robbery cases aimed at sales proceeds of convenience stores or supermarkets during their night opening hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., hereinafter the same) over the last 10 years.
