  International cooperation for harmonization in systems in criminal justice has been promoted at various international conferences, etc. including the United Nations (hereinafter referred to as the “U.N.”) and the Summit Meeting of the Group of Eight major powers (G8 Summit), as countermeasures against international crimes have become important amid the strengthening of international ties in society and economy and the activation of international flow in human resources, materials, money, information, etc.
