3 Financial offenses

  Fig. 1-3-2-6 shows the number of persons newly received by public prosecutors offices for violations of the Investment Act and Loan Business Control Act over the last 10 years.
  Violations of the Loan Business Control Act, over the last 10 years, peaked in 2003, but are declining since then while violations of the Investment Act increased a little from the previous year in 2006.

  Table 1-3-2-7 shows the number of persons prosecuted or not prosecuted by public prosecutors over the last five years for violations of the Investment Act and Loan Business Control Act.
  In 2006, 540 persons prosecuted were indicted and 145 were put on summary trial procedures for Investment Act violations, and 188 prosecuted were indicted and 102 were put on summary trial procedures for Loan Business Control Act violations (Source: Annual Report of Statistics on Prosecution).
