On July 15, 2005, the Act on Medical Care and Treatment for Insane Persons or Persons with Diminished Capacity Who Have Caused Serious Case (Act No. 110 of 2003; hereinafter referred to as the "Act on Medical Care and Treatment for Insane Persons or Persons with Diminished Capacity") entered into force.
