5 Terms being accommodated in support facilities for development of self-sustaining capacity and reasons for discharge

  Juveniles are accommodated in support facilities for development of self-sustaining capacity usually for a period between one and a half years and two years,but actual discharge is determined according to the conditions of individual juveniles and their families.
  Among juveniles discharged during one year until October1,2003,40.1%were accommodated in support facilities for development of self-sustaining capacity"for less than one year,"42.9%"for one year or over but less than two years,"11.9%"for two years or over but less than three years,"and5.0%"for three years or over"(Source:Survey on Social Welfare Facilities,etc.by the Ministry of Health,Labour and Welfare).
  Fig.4-4-7-6 shows the percent distribution of reasons for discharge for juveniles discharged from support facilities for development of self-sustaining capacity during one year until October1of1991,1997,and2003,respectively.
