In this section, we will make a comparison between the survey results in Japan and those of other countries that participated in the fourth ICVS in 2000. The comparison targeted the following 11 countries that provided comparative data: Australia, Canada, the U.K. (limited to England and Wales), Finland, France, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.S.A.
